Juno award-winning Jazz bassist, singer and composer, Brandi Disterheft has been captivating audiences around the world with her energetic and innovative live shows. Brandi and her quartet, composed of some of New York City’s hottest jazz musicians, will be appearing at the Market Hall for a one-night performance on April 29th to celebrate International Jazz Day. The International Jazz Day Peterborough Committee is thrilled to present these exceptional artists.
As part of the International Jazz Day Celebrations, a Jazz Workshop will be conducted in the main auditorium in the afternoon (between 2:00 and 4:00 on April 29th). The public is encouraged to come down to experience the workshop as session leaders Sean Hully (woodwinds and brass); Mike Graham (guitar & bass) and Brandon Munro (percussion) help musicians explore and develop improvisational skills. There is no charge for the public to attend, listen to and enjoy the Jazz Workshop. This promises to be an enriching experience for anyone who appreciates jazz.
